Privacy Policy for Photo Metadata EXIF Editor

Effective Date: April 17, 2026

Photo Metadata EXIF Editor ("the app") is a mobile application that lets you view, edit, and strip hidden photo metadata (EXIF) directly on your device. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.

This policy applies to the app published by 김민형 (rexyrex) ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

The app is designed to keep your photos and metadata on your device. Most operations — reading, editing, and stripping EXIF metadata — happen locally and never leave your phone. The limited information collected is described below.

1.1 Photos and Their Metadata

To function, the app needs access to photos you explicitly choose. When you pick an image from your photo library or capture one with the camera, the app reads the image file and its embedded metadata (including fields such as camera model, date taken, GPS coordinates if present, exposure settings, and orientation). Edited or stripped copies are saved back to your device's photo library at your request.

1.2 Camera (iOS)

On iOS, you may grant the app permission to use the camera so you can capture a photo directly for metadata editing. Captured photos are handled the same way as library photos — processed locally and never uploaded.

1.3 Advertising Identifiers (Android)

On Android, the app displays ads served by Google AdMob. To deliver and measure ads, AdMob may access your Android Advertising ID (AAID), approximate location inferred from your IP address, device and OS information, and ad interaction events. You can reset or limit this identifier at any time in Settings → Privacy → Ads on your Android device.

The iOS version of the app does not currently display ads and does not request the App Tracking Transparency prompt.

1.4 Consent Signals (EEA / UK Users)

For users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app presents a Google-provided consent form (UMP) the first time ads are loaded. Your consent choices are stored locally by the Google Mobile Ads SDK and control whether personalized or non-personalized ads are shown. You can review and change your choices later from the in-app privacy options.

1.5 Font Resources

The app uses the Google Fonts service to load typefaces used in the interface. When a font is first requested, a network request is made to Google's content delivery network. These requests may include standard request metadata (such as your IP address and user agent) that Google logs as part of operating its services.
